Joint venture
APF Energy is a joint venture between Dutch anaerobic digestion company APF and Paris-based SWEN Capital Partners, leading equity investors in the European biomethane industry.
This alliance brings together market intelligence and industry best practices to strengthen and expand our portfolio.
Strategy
APF Energy contributes to the growing demand for sustainable biomethane by acquiring and upgrading existing brownfield co-digestion plants.
We aim for facilities with existing, irrevocable gas permits and a grid connection for biomethane production of at least 500 nm3/h.
Investing in strong networks
We're not just investors. Our team is dedicated to maintaining strong connections with previous owners and their local networks. This approach gives us a strong competitive edge, as we mutually reinforce each other.
Operations
Headquartered in Uden (Noord-Brabant), APF Energy's operational locations across the Netherlands give each plant the flexibility to make their own decisions and meet specific needs.
Locations benefit from synergies and lean management, while maintaining a level of independence.
Management team
Our highly experienced management team has a proven track record in operating and financing anaerobic digestion facilities and other renewable assets.
Our team covers a wide range of expertise, each adding to the successful operation of our projects.
Feedstock optimisation
Our specialised in-house biologist composes our feedstock menus, taking into account economic viability, availability and biogas yield optimisation.
