Waste to biogas, biogas to biomethane

At APF Energy we work with a select team of subject-matter experts. Together we upgrade each project to meet the latest technological standards. But merely deploying state-of-the-art equipment does not guarantee the best quality biomethane. This complex and delicate fermentation process needs special expertise.

Optimal feedstock blends are put together by a biologist. As a result we achieve a consistent high-quality gas yield for each installation. Remaining organic matter is put to good use as a valuable organic fertiliser and soil enhancer, thus further reducing our carbon footprint.

Biogas to energise future generations

APF Energy biogas plants

APF Energy currently owns and operates four brownfield biogas plants in the Netherlands. Each was an operational biogas plant at the time of acquisition. By upgrading these installations, we're contributing to a sustainable future. Further projects are under consideration.

International joint venture

APF B.V. acquired its first project, EPB Biddinghuizen, on a standalone basis. After that, it teamed up with Paris-based private equity company SWEN to form APF Energy BV. The other three projects were then acquired by APF Energy.
